Choosing a Woder Filter

Before you buy a filter from Woder, consider these important facts:

Determine how old your plumbing pipes in your home are.

Find out which types of contamination have been detected in your tap water by your local municipality.

Our Advanced Water Filter is one of the highest rated filters sold on Amazon Prime. It removes VOCs, Lead, Heavy metals, Chlorine (99%) and other contaminants (99%), odors and bad tastes. This filter is also bacteriostatic which means it prevents colonization of any microorganisms within the filter. It’s also been proven to remove Mercury, PFCs, Glyphosate, Chromium 6, and turbidity.

If you’re concerned you have elevated levels of sediment, Lead, heavy metals, or Fluoride, combine our Advanced Filter with a first-stage cartridge that removes these specific contaminants with our dual-stage system.

To dramatically reduce the fluoride in your tap water, our dual-stage Fluoride filter removes 95% of fluoride as well as chloramines. It is also effective in removing Arsenic. Our filters do not use Silica Alumina or Aluminate to reduce Fluoride. The media is using bone char as part of the components to remove Fluoride. We use silver nitrate for the antibacterial in all our filters.

Woder filters use a proprietary technology called Selective Filtration™ to remove 99.99% of contaminants while leaving in all essential minerals vital to your health, including calcium, potassium, and magnesium.

Make sure the fittings to your cold water lines match the fittings on the filter you choose. There are two predominant types of fitting connections in the US:

Direct Connect Fittings: For Under Sink installations, the plumbing industry uses a fitting that’s called Direct Connect. It’s most commonly used under your kitchen and bathroom sinks. The inlet hose (flowing IN from your water supply line) has ⅜ inch female compression with ¼ standard pipe thread. The outlet hose (flowing OUT to your faucet) is ⅜ inch compression with 1/4 standard pipe, (in accordance with the US Building Code.

Quick Connect or "John Guest" Fittings: For water lines used with refrigerator water dispensers, ice machines and RVs, you need an “Inline” filter with “Quick Connect” fittings. Quick Connect fittings are also called “John Guest” or “JG” fittings. They are ¼ inch and fit all ¼ inch  plastic flex or “PEX” tubing and flexible Copper tubing used to supply water to ice makers and refrigerators, etc. Quick Connect fittings DO NOT FIT BRAIDED HOSES.
