"Good – Not Great Solution for bad tasting water. The Good! I purchase this item for use under a bathroom sink to help remove some of the horrible taste in the water in Tucson AZ which it did but not completely but within what I would consider to be acceptable. The Chlorine taste and smell is undetectable by smell but the "fishy" taste is still slightly there. The coffee made from this water actually tastes better (I think that the grounds actually absorb and hold more water???)The flow is almost unchanged from this Faucet. The hoses are plenty..." - May 22, 2018

"On my 2nd one.Easy to install. Ypu can taste the difference in tap water. This is my second one, the other one (was the 30k) lasted 2.5 years. My water is very hard and I hate the taste of any chlorine in it. I live at the border of my county which is a long ways from the closest tower, so we get really hard water running all those miles through pipes. I can taste the difference. I knew when it was time to change my last filter bevcause the water started tasting nasty....filter was done. Got this new one and..." - May 22, 2018

Will my Woder Filter will reach its advertised capacity?

Every filter’s life may vary based on local water conditions or use patterns. Incorrect use of the filter or particulate matter in the water can affect its capacity. Causes of shorten life capacity include: • use of the filter with hot water, when it should only be used for drinking water, which is the water that comes from your cold pipeline. • use with unusually dirty municipal water, or with well water. To extend filter’s life capacity , use municipal water only, not well water. These water filters are made for the use of municipal water sources. Do not use with hot, salty, or softened water. The connectors are designed for cold water use only.. Woder Filters and their connectors are built for optimal drinking water. Filters and connectors are not capable for washing and cooking purposes. Review installation instructions for more details. On the inlet side of these filters there is a screen that will get easily clogged up by any type of dirt or settlement from a well. Rust, dirt, sediment or anything that can collect on the screen of the filter will reduce the water pressure. If there is construction around your house where plumbers tie into a waterline, there can be dirt or sediment that gets into the water system that will clog up the screen of the filter. This can happen even miles up the road during any kind of construction. Under normal use from municipal water, the Woder filters should not lose water pressure for approximately three years. The filter functions even when we're not aware of it. Flow rate should be: • 3 GPM at 65psig – For Cap models • 2 GPM at 65psig – For Single Cartridge models • 1.32 GPM at 65psig – For all FRM models

What is Woder Filter’s removal capabilities?

The formula removes VOCs and Heavy Metals and its bacteriostatic, which means it prevents colonization of any microorganisms within the filter. All Woder Filters remove Lead, Heavy metals, Chlorine (99%) and other contaminants (99%), odors and bad tastes. It also removes Mercury, PFCs, Glyphosate, Chromium 6 and turbidity. The Gen3 (S-Types) and FRM also remove chloramines. VOC’s include the 4 classes of per-fluorocarbons (PFC's) as follows: 1. Cyclic, branched, or linear, completely fluorinated alkanes; 2. Cyclic, branched, or linear, completed fluorinated ethers, with no unsaturations; 3. Cyclic, branched, or linear, completely fluorinated tertiary-amines with no unsaturations; 4. Sulfur containing perfluorocarbons with no unsaturations and with sulfur bonds only to carbon and fluorine; 5. VOC may be measured by the referenced method, an equivalent method, an alternate method or by procedures specified under 40 CFR Part 60. A referenced method, an equivalent method, or an alternate method may also measure nonreactive organic compounds. In such cases, an owner or operator may exclude the nonreactive organic compound when determining compliance with a standard. The surrogate for all VOCs is Chloroform and the Gen II and Gen III formula remove all of Chloroform which allows us to claim the same for all VOCs given the surrogate is the most difficult of all VOCs to remove. The Woder FRM specialty cartridge reduces Fluoride up to 95% and is also very effective on Arsenic. Woder does not use Silica Alumina or Aluminate to reduce Fluoride. The media is using bone char as part of the components to remove Fluoride. We use silver nitrate for the antibacterial in all our filters. The bacteriostatic media keeps bacteria from growing inside of the filter. The Woder advantage – Selective Filtration™: Woder filters have a unique technology that removes over 99.99% of contaminants while leaving in all essential minerals, which are vital to your health, including calcium, potassium, and magnesium. The unique advanced Selective Filtration™ technology has an affinity for impurities, so it attracts them, but it has no affinity for healthy minerals, so it allows them to remain. With Woder you enjoy tap water as pure and health as spring water!

What is the shelf life of the filter?

Woder filters formula is bacteriostatic. The way bacteriostasis is accomplished is by ion transfer and sharing electrons with any pathogen captured by the filter. The natural cationic media in the filter is active and has no known shelf life which means the filter will emit ions when we are all dead and gone.

Why not using on well or softened water.

On the inlet side of these filters there is a screen that will get easily clogged up by any type of dirt or settlement from a well. These water filters are made for the use of municipal water sources that are not softened. Softened water gets high salt rate that can clogged up the system. Q: Why not using on softened water These water filters are made for the use of municipal water sources that are not softened. Softened water gets high salt rate that can clogged up the system.

How Woder Filter affect TDS / PPM in water?

TDS (total dissolved solids) meter is not an effective method to test water quality! It is known to also pick up ions. The filter formula is bacteriostatic. The way bacteriostatic is accomplished is by ion transfer and sharing electrons with any pathogen captured by the filter. The natural cationic media in the filter is active and has no known shelf life which means the filter will emit ions past human existence. . For the record, essential minerals are also picked up by TDS meters In fact, dead water will have the lowest TDS reading and should not be considered good drinking water. All Carbon and other media-based filters increase TDS, while flushing will reduce the value indicated...a bacteriostatic filter will never flush out because of the ionic transfer. Please note the the Woder advantage is Selective Filtration. Woder filters have a unique technology that removes over 99.99% of contaminants while leaving in all essential minerals, which are vital to your health, including calcium, potassium, and magnesium. The unique advanced Selective Filtration™ technology has an affinity for impurities, so it attracts them, but it has no affinity for healthy minerals, so it allows them to remain. When your water is pure yet healthy with essential minerals, it’s the way nature intended drinking water to be. By contrast, residential filters that work with reverse osmosis filter out everything, including the minerals your body needs for good health. As far as nutrition goes, experts consider it essentially dead water.

When it is time to replace the Woder water filter?

When installing the filter, write the date of installation on the filter for future references. Under normal use from municipal water, the Woder filter should not lose water pressure until the end of its capacity as listed. Bear in mind that filters life may vary based on local water conditions or use patterns. For longest life, use with municipal water only, not well water. Do not use with hot, salty, or softened water. Connectors are for cold water use only. The way to determine that the filter has reached its capacity is when the flow decreases dramatically, or when the taste of Chlorine or bad odors become noticeable.

What is the micron rating of this filter?

Granular filters do not have a micron rating. A micron rating is provided for carbon block style filters or filters using pleated membrane materials. These type technologies use nano-sized to larger pore sizes to separate solids from the flow of water. A solid can be anything suspended or dissolved. These solids can include cysts, bacteria and or virus. Woder Filters are all granular formulas. There are 6 different media that are all micro-ground and screened then blended rather than layered. The entry lines are chambered in a way to create maximum retention while only slightly limiting flow rate. The filters formulas are granular, and the technologies are ion exchange and catalytic adsorption. Filters with a micron rating are generally used for well water and or questionable water conditions that include claims to remove microorganisms.
