It combines dual-stage fluoride removal media with standard Gen4 Advanced filtration, so you’re getting that one contaminant addressed alongside the usual lead and chlorine reduction, all from one cartridge stack on a refrigerator, ice-maker, or dedicated line. As a fluoride removal water filter, it’s built for the same use cases as our other JG-fitting products, just with this specific concern addressed too.
How the Two Stages Work Together
The two stages work together rather than independently: the dedicated reduction media handles that specific contaminant while the Gen4 Advanced stage covers broader filtration for lead, chlorine, and the rest of the usual targets. That’s what makes this a genuine dual stage water filtration system rather than just one filter with an extra step tacked on, both stages are doing real work on every gallon that passes through, not just the first one.
Compatibility
This model connects with John Guest quick-connect fittings on standard quarter-inch tubing, which fits the same refrigerator, ice-maker, and RV lines as the rest of our inline family, not a faucet or under-sink setup. As a set of dual stage filters go, install is no more complicated than our single-stage products, since both cartridges are housed together in the same push-to-connect setup. That makes it a genuinely usable fluoride removal water filtration system for anyone already comfortable installing our inline products on those same appliance lines.
Non-RO Fluoride Reduction
On this specific contaminant, the system works the same way as our under-sink dual-stage model: dedicated media pulling it out without the mineral stripping or wasted output that comes with reverse osmosis. If avoiding RO’s tradeoffs matters to you but you need an inline connection on a 1/4-inch water supply line rather than a faucet setup, this is the model built for that combination.
