Removal Capabilities: Our Advanced WD-G4-2512-JG filter removes 99.9% of lead, heavy metals, chlorine, chromium 6. In addition, it removes mercury, volatile organic compounds, carcinogens, and other contaminants. And finally, it also removes turbidity, odors, and bad tastes (claims tested by CLB Labs and are not certified by WQA).

Fits All 1/4″ Plastic Flex Tubing and Flexible Copper Tubing used for water supply to ice makers and refrigerators, etc. 1/4” JG also fits the 1/8″ PEX TUBING as its O.D. is the same as 1/4” Tube. DOES NOT FIT BRAIDED HOSES

Our proprietary Selective Filtration™ technology removes 99.9% of contaminants while leaving in all essential minerals. Also a Reverse Osmosis (RO) filters also remove 99.9% of contaminants. WD-G4-2512-JG Preventing Sediment Buildup
If your water supply contains elevated levels of sediment, a dual-stage Sediment Removal Filter System is recommended to prevent decreased filter life due to particulate buildup within the filter. Rust from old plumbing, upstream construction contributing to excess sediment finding its way into your water supply, and water supplies with high levels of sand and contaminants can all result in water conditions not suitable for a single-stage filter system.

The WD-G4-2512-JG is the highest-capacity quick connect water filter in our inline lineup, built for larger households or anyone who’d rather swap a cartridge less often without giving up any of the contaminant reduction Gen4 Advanced media provides. Found that our standard inline filter needs replacing more often than you’d like? This is the model we’d suggest stepping up to.
How the Connection Works
Like every filter in our JG line, this system uses John Guest water filter quick connect fittings that push directly onto your existing quarter-inch water line, with no tools, no thread tape, and no drilling required. The larger cartridge housing adds a bit of length to the install, but the connection process itself is identical to our standard-capacity inline filters – push, click, and you’re filtering water.
More Capacity, Fewer Swaps
The larger cartridge in this model extends the time between replacements substantially compared to our compact WD-G4-210-JG, which is the trade-off worth understanding when choosing between the two: a bit more upfront housing size in exchange for meaningfully longer intervals between cartridge changes. As an inline water filter quick connect option, it’s the better fit for households pushing higher daily water volume through their fridge or ice maker.
Where It Installs
This filter fits the same quarter-inch water lines as our other JG products – refrigerators, standalone ice makers, and RV water systems – so moving from our compact model to this quick connect inline water filter doesn’t call for different fittings or a different install process, just a larger housing in the same spot.
