Selective Filtration™
Our proprietary Selective Filtration™ technology removes 99.9% of contaminants while leaving in all essential minerals. For example, Reverse Osmosis (RO) filters also remove 99.9% of contaminants, however, RO also remove ALL the minerals found in tap water – including minerals your body needs. In addition, RO systems can waste thousands of gallons of water annually while flushing contaminants down the drain.
Preventing Sediment Buildup
If your water supply contains elevated levels of sediment, then a dual-stage Sediment Removal Filter System is recommended. This is in order to prevent decreased filter life due to particulate buildup within the filter. Moreover, please note that rust from old plumbing, upstream construction contributing to excess sediment finding its way into your water supply, and water supplies with high levels of sand and contaminants can all result in water conditions not suitable for a single-stage filter system.
Small Inline Water Filter (WD-G4-210-JG)
Not every install has room for a full-size cartridge, and that’s exactly the gap the WD-G4-210-JG fills. It’s our small inline water filter, running the same Gen4 Advanced Selective Filtration media as our larger models but built into a more compact housing. If you’re working in a tight cabinet, a smaller RV compartment, or just don’t need the extended capacity of our high-volume filters, this is the model sized for that.
John Guest Quick-Connect Fittings
The “JG” in this filter’s name refers to John Guest, the push-to-connect fitting standard used across our entire inline lineup. A water filter with jg connection means no soldering, no thread sealant, and nothing to drill into, just a tube pushed into a fitting until it clicks. If you’ve seen the term water filter with john guest fittings on other products and wondered what it meant, this is it: a tool-free, quarter-inch push-fit connection that most people can complete in a couple of minutes.
This compact model fits the same appliances as the rest of our inline family: refrigerators, dedicated ice makers, and RV water systems running standard quarter-inch tubing. The smaller housing doesn’t change what it filters, lead, chlorine, PFAS, and the rest of the standard Gen4 Advanced removal list are all still covered, just in a footprint that fits tighter spaces.
Compatibility and Cartridge Life
Because it’s a smaller cartridge than our WD-G4-2512-JG model, expect a shorter capacity before a swap is due, generally suited to lighter household usage or applications where space matters more than maximum cartridge life. Tracking your install date is the easiest way to stay ahead of a replacement rather than waiting for a flow-rate drop to tell you. This filter is designed and packaged in the USA.
Frequently Asked Questions
How compact is this filter compared to Woder’s standard inline model?
It’s built into a smaller housing than our high-capacity inline filters, designed specifically for tight install spaces, while still using the same Gen4 Advanced filtration media.
What does “JG” (John Guest) mean?
John Guest is the push-to-connect fitting standard used across our inline product line. It means the filter installs by pushing a quarter-inch tube into the fitting, no tools or sealant required.
How long does the cartridge last?
Because of the smaller housing, expect a shorter capacity than our larger inline filters, generally suited to lighter usage. Tracking your install date will help you stay ahead of when a swap is due.
