Selective Filtration™
Our proprietary Selective Filtration™ technology removes 99.9% of contaminants while leaving in all essential minerals. Reverse Osmosis (RO) filters also remove 99.9% of contaminants, however, RO also remove ALL the minerals found in tap water – including minerals your body needs. RO systems can waste thousands of gallons of water annually while flushing contaminants down the drain.
Preventing Sediment Buildup
If your water supply contains elevated levels of sediment, a dual-stage Sediment Removal Filter System is recommended to prevent decreased filter life due to particulate buildup within the filter. Rust from old plumbing, upstream construction contributing to excess sediment finding its way into your water supply, and water supplies with high levels of sand and contaminants can all result in water conditions not suitable for a single-stage filter system.
The Gen4 Woder WD-G4-210-DC One-Piece water filter was previously known as the Woder WD-4K-DC / Woder WD-4K-ADV-DC / Woder WD-4K / Woder WD-Gen3 / Woder WD-GenIII systems.
Long-Lasting Compact Water Filter (WD-G4-210-DC)
The WD-G4-210-DC is built for cabinets that don’t have room for a full-size housing. It’s our long lasting water filter in a compact form factor, running the same Gen4 Advanced Selective Filtration media as our larger models, just sized for tighter under-sink spaces without giving up meaningful cartridge life. If your existing under-sink setup is cramped, or you’re just working with a smaller kitchen, this model is built to fit.
Cartridge Life in a Compact Housing
Despite the smaller housing, this is still a genuinely water filter long lasting enough for typical household use, it’s positioned between our compact and high-capacity models on cartridge life. It won’t match the extended capacity of the WD-G4-2512-DC, but for most single or smaller households, that tradeoff makes sense in exchange for the space savings.
We describe this as a universal water filter because it’s built to fit most standard under-sink configurations without requiring special adapters or nonstandard plumbing, though as with any filter, it’s worth double-checking your specific setup before ordering. As a universal water filtration system, it follows the same 3/8-inch valve connection most kitchen sinks already use, so compatibility issues are rare. This filter is designed and packaged in the USA.
Fit and Installation
Installation direct-connects to your existing cold-water valve, no drilling into the counter or cabinet required, following the same process as the rest of our under-sink lineup. Most households complete it themselves with basic hand tools in well under an hour. This filter belongs to our Advanced Filtration (Under-Sink) lineup, with replacement cartridges available in our Replacement Cartridges category.
