Pre-Sedimentation and Advanced Removal (WD-20m-REP + WD-G4-REP)
For households with hard water that do not have an entry-point (whole-house) pre-sedimentation system, high sediment levels can act as carriers for absorbed chemicals and contaminants. Our Sediment Removal Cartridge (Stage 1) is engineered to capture these particulates while protecting the Advanced Filtration Cartridge (Stage 2) from premature clogging.

WQA-Certified
Woder WD-GEN4-2512TC Cartridge (WD-G4-REP, 2nd stage of this system) is WQA certified to NSF/ANSI 42 for Chlorine taste, odor and NSF/ANSI 372 for lead free compliance as verified and substantiated by test data. |
The combination of a 20µ sediment removal (First stage) and ADV Filtration facilitates the removal of lead, PFAS, aluminum, heavy metals, chlorine (99%), contaminants (99%), mercury, PFCs, glyphosate, chromium 6, copper, nitrates, turbidity, chloramines, VOCs, odors, bad tastes, sediment, dust, dirt, and contaminants.
Product Specifications:
Product Dimensions: 15.4″ X 7.25″ (12.25″ is needed with the hoses) X 2.52″
Capacity:
WD-20m-REP – 1st stage cartridge – Capacity depends on dirt, sediments and dust levels in your water.
WD-G4-REP – 2nd stage cartridge.
Cartridge lifespan: 1 year under warranty.
System includes: WD-20m-REP cartridge (1st stage, capacity depends on dirt, sediments and dust levels). WD-G4-REP cartridge (Second stage). Head with dual, built-in shut off valves, inlet hose (3/8 female compression by 1/4 standard pipe thread), outlet hose (3/8 m compression by 1/4 standard pipe).
Removal Capabilities: Our sediment WD-20m-REP cartridge removes sediment, dust, dirt and contaminants. Our Gen4 advanced WD-G4-REP cartridge removes 99.9% of lead, heavy metals, in addition to chlorine and chromium 6. Moreover, it removes mercury, and volatile organic compounds, carcinogens, contaminants, turbidity, odor, and bad tastes. Please note that these claims tested by CLB Labs and are not certified by WQA.
Common applications includes;
Point of use(POU) under sink water filtration system.
Selective Filtration™
Our proprietary Selective Filtration™ technology removes 99.9% of contaminants while leaving in all essential minerals. Reverse Osmosis (RO) filters also remove 99.9% of contaminants, however, RO also remove ALL the minerals found in tap water – including minerals your body needs. RO systems can waste thousands of gallons of water annually while flushing contaminants down the drain.
Two-Stage Sediment + Advanced Water Filter (WD-D-20M-G4-DC)
The WD-D-20M-G4-DC combines two cartridges in a single under-sink housing: a 20-micron mechanical sediment stage ahead of our standard Gen4 Advanced media. It’s a two stage sediment water filter built for households dealing with visible particulate, whether from well water or aging plumbing, who also want the broader contaminant reduction Gen4 provides. As a pre-sediment water filter, the sediment stage runs first, protecting the Gen4 cartridge that follows it.
Why Run Two Stages Instead of One
Running two stages instead of relying on Gen4 alone comes down to protecting your investment. Sediment is abrasive, and letting it hit the Gen4 media directly shortens that cartridge’s working life. A 2 stage sediment filter setup like this one catches the particulate first, so the more advanced (and more expensive to replace) stage lasts longer between swaps.
Installation direct-connects to your under-sink cold-water valve, the same process as our other Direct Connect systems, with no drilling required. As a pre-sedimentation water filtration system, it doesn’t add any complexity to the install compared to a single-stage filter, both cartridges are housed together and connect the same way.
Installation and Cartridge Replacement
Because the two stages handle different jobs, they don’t wear out on identical schedules. The sediment cartridge will typically need attention sooner in households with heavier particulate, while the Gen4 stage follows its usual capacity-based timeline. Checking each independently, rather than assuming a single replacement date covers both, gets the most life out of each cartridge. This filter is designed and packaged in the USA.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the sediment pre-filter stage remove?
It mechanically traps dirt, sand, and rust down to about 20 microns, protecting the Gen4 Advanced stage that follows it from abrasive particulate buildup.
Do both cartridges need to be replaced at the same time?
Not necessarily. The sediment stage often needs replacement sooner in households with heavier particulate loads, while the Gen4 stage runs on its own usage-based schedule.
How is this installed under the sink?
It direct-connects to your existing cold-water valve, the same Direct Connect approach used across our under-sink line, with no drilling required.
